I love the feeling that comes from gathering with my fellow town folk to celebrate our community.
We shake hands with our local firemen and women and wave to our mayor.
We clap and dance alongside marching bands and baton twirlers.
We chat with people around us and share in the joy of each other's children.
And finally we all cheer wildly for the jolly man in the red suit.
This is a tradition worth fighting the crowds for.
Because the crowd really is the best part.
