Halloween is a BIG deal at our house. It comes during our favourite season and gives our family of shy people a chance to put on persona and be someone else.

We look forward to carving the pumpkins and decorating the house and heading out in disguise to fill our bags with treats.

This year we are adding something new and special to our night, by participating in the Change for Kids program on behalf of the Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital

We will be encouraging friends and family to purchase coin cards (available at any Scotiabank branches in the GTA, select Rexall Pharma Plus stores, Husky locations, Spirit Halloween stores and the Amazing Party & Costume store). We will also be handing them out at our door.

Each coin card contains a unique PIN code that gives trick-or-treaters a chance to win one of 500 prizes, including a grand prize weekend at Great Wolf Lodge for 50 people (valued at 20,000!).

For each PIN code entered, Scotiabank will make a $5 donation to Holland Bloorview to help change the lives of kids with disabilities and those in need of support and rehabilitation.

As a family, we've spent time in children's hospitals and have been on the receiving end of incredible support. We were so fortunate to benefit from that care, and we were deeply moved by the families we encountered during our experience.

In a few days—when we dress up and head out for another unforgettable night of family fun—we will be thinking about those brave families. Please join us in doing the same.

Happy Halloween, friends.
